Leading cause of dog injury in flight

OK, these dogs are living the good life. I'm not sure if they're strapped in or not, but that's not the kind of injury I'm thinking about.

Based on the reading I've done, which has not been systematic or exhaustive, the leading cause of dog injury in flight seems to be injuries sustained by pets trying to escape their kennels, and sometimes succeeding. emphasizes the importance of zip tying your kennel closed after TSA inspection. I hadn't thought of that, but it sounds like a great idea.
